The judges simply loved the colour pallette and soft, detailed colouring. Especially the bird's and the soft pink used on the large rabbit's ears. Beautiful!

This image caught the judges eye not only for the extra cat and bird drawn on the side, or the beautiful detail on the hedghog's rug, but for the two love birds sitting on the neighbour's fence! Very cute.

The judges really loved the delicate multi toned shading to the characters in this submission, especially the beautiful birds and shading on the large white bunny rabbit.

I concur, it very well could have been colored by an 11 year old. I could have managed it at that age too, it's quite plausible. Some people are more gifted in art than the average kid, that's all.
