We all love our purry pals, but they can certainly try our patience at times, especially when it comes to being where they should not be. Don’t worry cat, I was definitely finished reading that newspaper!

For example, whose cat ever slept in the expensive plushy bed you bought especially for them? No way, they’d much prefer to hang out in the bag it came in. Or on your fresh laundry, or in the sink, or artfully draped over your computer keyboard... cats can be quite imaginative when it comes to annoying places to nap.

It seems we’re not alone in this observation either. We love this Tumblr blog which has pulled together loads of pictures of cats where they simply do not belong.

My cat’s favourite spot used to be the mantelpiece (until he got too big) so Simon’s Cat film Shelf Life rang especially true. We lost many an ornament to his clumsy paws and swishing tail.

Meanwhile, our new addition seems perfectly happy curled up in the sink of an evening, and likes to ‘help me work’ by being a cuddly desktop mascot.

We have spotted some Simon's Cat's users who also have to put up with this behaviour. Most recently Mynachu, Karla6731, Hylaaa and particularly Mcviola who has a series of entertaining 'cats where they do not belong' snaps.
