Thanks for getting involved.
On returning home last night I was rewarded with a loving present from Hugh the Hunter.
Normally I only get a nose but last night I had the whole lot to choose from...Such thoughtfulness.
The house across the road is due to be knocked down and its huge garden has become an overgrown jungle. All my cats (except little house cat Jess of course) go there for the hunting. I'm not sure what they'll do when the site is cleared and built upon.I would probably worry I suppose, as building sites are renowned cat traps.
I always try to save any mouse that the cats bring in. At first proud Teddy would bring them to me and show them off. Now he shows me quickly then runs for the cat flap, as he knows I will be hot on his tail. It has become part of the game of hunting.
However, although It's a little sad at times it's their skill in catching mice that has led cats to be man's second best friend since the beginning, so I can't really moan.

It was last year, I think. In the morning I came into the kitchen and one of the cats was playing with something. It was a mouse's head. The body was somewhere else~

When Hobbes brings stuff in there is a 50/50 chance the animals live and I let them go... birds and mice mostly, moths on occasion. One time I received a mouses head.. Think Godfather
