Thanks for getting involved.
I bought a new mattress the other day and took the old one down into the hallway , ready to be thrown away. However, it soon became the new cat toy of the house!
Even little Jess seems to enjoy her new found vantage point from which she can scan her surroundings and keep a watchful eye of naughty Teddy.
Big Maisy likes to stretch out and sleep along it, until I go to bed and she takes up her usual place on my pillow.
Hugh likes to stretch up and sharpen his claws on the material and Teddy...well Teddy is all over it. Although his favourite has to be chasing toy mice along the top and if they fall down the back, well that's just crazy time and the chase is on.
I haven't got the heart to get rid of it quite yet as they all seem to be having so much fun. I'll wait until they all get bored of it and then take it away.
I'm sure they won't notice, what's the worst that could happen...

A mattress stood on end is the best Cat-Tree, Scratching Post & all around "Lookout Post" there ever was!

We do the same thing...keep whatever is amusing our cats the most in any given week until they get bored of it. Then, we throw it away while they're sleeping. :)
